Scientific Note Record of a tailless Richardson's ray Bathyraja richardsoni (Garrick, 1961) (Rajiformes: Arhynchobatidae) caught off the Mid-Atlantic ridge

This note reports a complete loss of tail in young female Richardson's ray Bathyraja richardsoni. Some morphometric measurements are provided and compared with those of normal females of similar size. We suggest this loss of tail is result of predation on this specimen during juvenile state.
